About Us
For homes that are meant to be lived in
Pattera is for people who want a home that feels warm and finished, but still has to work for everyday life.
Why We Started
Pattera started with a simple frustration: a lot of rugs looked good in photos, but were harder to live with once they were actually in a home. Some felt too precious. Some were bulky. Some slipped, curled, trapped dust, or looked tired too quickly.
We wanted something better: rugs that still feel considered, but make more sense for daily life. That is why Pattera focuses on washable, low-profile chenille rugs with non-slip backing and a lighter visual feel. The goal is simple: help a room feel warmer and more finished without asking for too much upkeep.
Washable materials, a low-profile build, and non-slip backing make these rugs easier to live with from the start.
We look for styles that bring warmth and texture to a room without making it feel heavy or overdone.
Pattera is for homes that are lived in every day. You should not have to choose between a room that looks good and a rug you can actually keep up with.
What Guides Us
We care about how a rug looks once it is actually in the room, not just how it looks in a product photo. That means paying attention to things like scale, placement, texture, and how a rug changes the feeling of the space once furniture is on it.
We also think practicality should be built in from the start. A rug should feel easy to care for, easy to trust around pets and kids, and easy to use in the rooms people walk through every day.
That balance matters to us. We want the room to feel better, but we do not want the rug to become one more thing you have to work around.
From the Founder Notebook
One idea kept coming up while building Pattera: people do not need more things to manage at home. They want things that help a space feel better and ask for less in return.
That shaped a lot of our decisions. We kept coming back to rugs that felt lighter, easier to place, easier to clean, and easier to trust in the rooms people use most. We wanted the style to feel calm and considered, but never so delicate that you feel nervous living around it.
If Pattera does its job well, the rug does not become another source of stress. It just makes the room feel right, and keeps working in the background of everyday life.
The Home We Design For
We think a rug should still make sense when the front door keeps opening, the dining chairs get pulled back ten times a day, the dog runs across the room, and the robot vacuum makes another pass under the sofa.
It should still feel right after breakfast, after guests, after a busy week, and after the room starts looking lived in instead of perfectly styled.
That is the kind of home we design for. Not a home that stays untouched. A home that gets used, rearranged, cleaned, walked through, and enjoyed. A rug should support that life, not interrupt it.
